Have antibiotics ever been tried in case she is prone to getting vaginal infections at his time of year, or has a vet checked the swelling in case she is prone to something similar to "Prickly Heat"? (Do ferrets even get something like that, I wonder?) What have vets said when they have checked in past years? How large is the swelling? We had one arrive here in heat once and the swelling was extreme.

The weight drop in warm weather isn't unusual.
