I have a 4 year old female named " Shorty", she's very active, and the life=
of the party. I have 7 more other Ferrets, 2 young ones, new additon
to the family, and the oldest is about 5. My question is, "Shorty" lost
a patch of hair on her left side, but then it grew back very fast. It was
just a very small patch. I have noticed that her vulva is very swollen,
and I check from day to day, yesterday I checked her while I was bathing
her and notcied that her vulva was protruding extensively, it almost looked=
like a tube, and I also noticed she had some very small bumps on her abdome=
n.
Is this Adrenal Gland Desease? And, what should I do? I have lost a male
Ferret named "Roscoe", through Lymphoma, and went throught the Chemotherapy,=
with the port installed in his neck, and treatments done, after the 3rd
treatment, that was his downfall, that was too potent for him, he couldn't
take the treatment, so he decided that enough was enough,so he left us.
He was only 6 months old. He had the best treatment a baby could have,
he was going to the University of Gainesville, and had, also a veternarian
here in town in Orange Park Florida, she was willing to help with the treat=
ment
with Roscoe, but with all the testing and trying of this and that, nothing
helped. I appreciate the staff at X, and also
tha patience of my animals Dr., Dr. X. So, back to the question,
what should I do about "Shorty", Dr. Williams if you read this, I spoke
to you a while back about Roscoe undergoing Chemo, and you told me to do
what I thought was best. If you read this please give me some advice about=
"Shorty", I'd appreciate any information from anyone also....Thanks for
your time...
