Hi...I will definitely keep in mind that it could cause damage. As of
this morning, the string was gone from his mouth. I didn't find any
vomit around the room so I assume it went down. I have been watching
the poop and I haven't found any sign of it yet. I honestly don't know
what the string came from. There haven't been any loose threads hanging
around the room. I will have Kev call a vet tomorrow (or I'll do it
myself when I get home from work at 1).

>From what I have read with strings (and floss or tinsle each of which I
have read can be worse) there is some risk that peristalsis will
continue but the thread can get lodged and the result can be the item
slowly cutting through tissues. Hopefully, once in the stomach it will
prove to be a type that dissolves well, but I'd call the vet for advice,
see if the vet wants an appointment, etc <snip>
