Subject: Puzzling Hair Loss

> I decided to go for exploratory surgery and the vet confirmed > her adrenals were normal

I believe an adrenal gland can look normal externally and still be defective internally. Spaz had surgery because of obvious hair loss. My very experienced vet looked at both adrenals and really couldn't tell which, if either, was affected. He decided to take out the left and upon dissection of the gland, he did note abnormalities in the structure.

Spaz was closed up and within three weeks he began to regrow his hair.
