Just thought of something.
Certainly a person can get red (even almost purplish with darkness) hands, feet, or face, or some combination from hormonal problems like occur with rapid menopause. I do not know if this has happened with adrenal disease, but estrogen is involved in that and the output would change with meds so perhaps a sudden hormaonal change might also play in, though I expect the others are more likely.
