I read something at another site that indicated paw licking and chewing to be a sign of serious concern.

I have a 6 yr old male who seems obsessed with licking and chewing his right front paw (and only that one). I have examined it very closely and found no evidence of redness, swelling or skin lesions, nor does he ever limp on it or act otherwise in pain. I thought maybe it was like thumb-sucking, at least in this case?

So, is licking and chewing on one the foot a sign of something in particular that I should be looking into?

Thanks,

Nicole
