Can any of the vets give me some insight. One of my ferrets recently had 2=
toes on his front paw become very red and swollen. No trauma such as a inj=
ury occurred. We are thinking that he probably got stung or bitten by an i=
nsect. The vet put him on Baytril and predisone. That did nothing. We have=
been soaking his foot daily but nothing. The hair is falling off the foot.=
The skin is not flaky but very smooth. We are stumped. It reminds me of p=
hlebitis.
