I think that Mike has an excellent point about not knowing whether an adrenal is diseased without pathology.
Years ago we had a little one whose adrenals turned out to be normal on necropsy and pathology (death from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) but who had lost a great deal of fur. Her lose stabilized after a while, though. Unlike Nona's little one the loss did not progress. If was figured that her's was actually age related.
