I've had my own ferret, Diana on chemotherapy since December. Other than a
bit of weightloss and the complete loss of her whiskers, she is doing okay.
Attitude is good, appetite is also. She is also on oral prednisolone once a
day.

My vet has told me that without the chemo, Diana would have died by now. We
were lucky I guess that it was caught early enough to not involve any of her
major organs. We did suffer a bit of a setback when attempting to move her to
every three weeks of treatment - the lymphoma came back aggressively and we
moved her back to every two weeks.

In her case it has extended quality of life by now almost 8 months. I wish it
would go into remission, but I'm enough of a realist to understand that this
is not going to happen. Diana is happy though - playing with her sibling
Buster and still bright and alert. She may just see her fifth birthday -
September 17. I hope.
