HI Carol, there is as much chance of botulism in canned anything as
being hit by lightning, it can happen but it is not worth worrying
about. As for raw meat I've fed everything you can find in the UK for
nearly 40 years and I include the road kill I find, I've never lost a
ferret to it yet. It is worth remembering ferrets have evolved to eat
carrion when they find it. Chris.
