Hi,
Last time I wrote Annika was in dire straights. Today she is relatively he=
althy. My vet is saying that she suspects IBD now, previously Annika was t=
reated for ulcers. She is not suggesting any treatment since Annika seems =
to be recovering on her own. She still has the occasional mucusy stool, bu=
t is eating a baby food and ensure combination like it is going out of styl=
e. She has gained weight and is finally looking good. The ulcers in her e=
yes have cleared up, but unfortunately left behind large scars. Still all =
in all the little trooper is just that a trooper. Unfortunatly just a thin=
gs seem to be getting better for her, I fear that her stress level may incr=
ease. I am having to move on very short notice several hundred miles from =
my current home for work. Annika and I will have to move before the begini=
ng of the school year here in Canada. Does anyone have any suggestions on =
what can be done to reduce her stress. We will not be flying, as I can't f=
ly (I'd end up with a bleeding ulcer!) but driving. I believe it is about =
a 14 hour drive and a two hour ferry ride to our new home. Any ideas on wh=
at could lessen her stress, and how to approach the move. I am worried abo=
ut the negative effects this could have on her health, but I have to move t=
o work. Catch 22.
Thanks in advance
Jenn
