Thank you Dr. Williams, that's the best news I have had all day. This
still leaves us with the problem of finding the inflammation, but
that's a much better alternative than JL. A radiograph yesterday
showed nothing visibly abnormal, except a slighly enlarged spleen.
Unless I misunderstand, that's usually a side-effect rather than a
cause, though.
The comment about not eating well fits. He free-feeds on a mix of the
best ferret foods (and against my best intentions eats some feline
Hifactor, too), but his stools have been smallish for a long time. I
had been concerned about a partial blockage, but simply not eating
enough could do the same, as you pointed out to another reader.
I know Dr. Williams probably won't see this, but perhaps someone else
will who may have advice.
