I think I may have posted this before, a while ago. But my youngest ferret,=
who is about 6 months old will use the litter box off and on. There are pl=
enty to his disposal and we've had him introduced to one ever since we had =
him. This has just started to happen recently. The cage is 4 levels high wi=
th ramps leading up to each level. Right in front of one of the ramps is wh=
ere he likes to go, and it's not even a corner. Now I believe he uses the l=
itter boxes periodically because I think there would be a bigger mess than =
what there is. But daily I am having to clean up after him in that spot. Wh=
en I watch him, he will back up into that spot and then as soon as I start =
to open the door to put him in the litter box, he stops and comes to me lik=
e I'm opening the door to let him out of the cage. If I put him in the litt=
er box continually for a few minutes, he usually will go there when he deci=
des to go. But this is only if I watch him and I can't be there all the tim=
e. I haven't changed the litter or anything, he used them as a baby so what=
happened? I have clothing laid out all on that level with some extra beddi=
ng in that spot so he will not see it as a bathroom. But it doesn't work. W=
hat can I do???
