Linda, maybe posting from that addy doesn't work well given that 3
have not worked and you could try the .edu one instead?

Here is Linda's missing post:

Dr Murray says
>There are 3 basic options to treat/or prevent the stimulation to the
>adrenal gland(s). 1) is Lupron depot, 2) is melatonin (pills, liquid, or
>the mink implant), 3) is to keep your ferret in a dark room for
>14 hours a day (ie winter like light condition).

After Cookie and Buttons (ages 3 and 4 at the time) had left adrenals
removed in March 2001, I decided to try option 1 to "protect" the
right adrenal. Caruso had to have 2 surgeries in 8 months the
previous year, and never thrived after that, and I was anxious less
the same thing happen to them.

They shared a 1mg 4month Lupron depot shot that April, and a second
one in November. They are currently symptom free. Did the Lupron
help? I don't know, but to me it was a worthwhile investment.
