Subject: URGENT....ZORRO....

Dear Joanne:

Without knowing what tests they ran, I am at a loss to judge the veracity of this diagnosis. In such cases, an aspirate of the fluid in or around the lungs often gives a more definitive diagnosis, and I always consider the possibility of heart disease causing fluid buildup in the chest.

If you are confident of this diagnosis, a strong dose of steroids on a daily basis often causes temporary remission of lymphoma, but will not cause the fluid to go away. I would also add Lasix into whatever course of therapy you decide to pursue.

With kindest regards,

Bruce Williams, dVM
