Sir Walter was found wandering around a parking lot in Dec 2000. He was brought to me as a huge, beautiful silver mitt with a blaze and bib. He was also quite deaf. I noticed when I shone my light in his eyes that they were different - one is blue and one is pink. Both of these are recessive traits and I was finally able to get pics of them.

They are posted at the pictures link under the album NCFerretMom. I would encourage you to look at the pics of his eyes and his coat if you have any interest. This is a genetic aberration and I have a pretty good grasp of what is involved here.

However, I find him an interesting study and would like to share him with this group to get comments and questions, as well as input from the vets on board. He is huge, healthy, MF and a great lover - kisses constantly. He is by far the happiest ferret I have ever met! He was probably about 18 months when these pics were taken.

renee :)
