If the vet thinks that it looks like a sore ask the vet whether this is one for which it may amke sense to run a CBC with Chem Panel. Sometimes mouth sores are form kidney disease and if so you want to be alerted fast to begin treating. We've had some with mouth cuts but only one with kidney related mouth sores.
