I have posted about my ferret Kayla that has scabs on her body. We counted 7 last night. This has been going on for about 2-3 months. The vet did tests and said everything was negative, so he figured they were allergies. First he had given us medicated shampoo, which we did for a month, but didn't work. It would take the ones she had down, but never away and new ones always came back. The vet said he didn't want to give her an allergy shot because it would make her really sick. So he put her on pills. Now the last time I posted this, I thought the pills were Prednisone. But I just realized that they are Prednisolone. Is there a difference? The pills are 5mg and she is taking half a pill every other day, in combination with the medicated bath. But none of this is working. These things will decrease what she already has, but they keep coming back. Is there anything that we can give her to take these things away for good? I hate seeing my baby girl like this! :o(
