Well, two folks have mentioned Essiac lowering blood glucose, so you
and your vet (and likely the consulting oncologist) would need to
discuss that aspect, and of these herbs Kelp is like low-grade
spinach in nutrient value and has the risk for some (humans) of
strong allergic reactions, blessed thistle herb was kind of in the
noise except that it can a sensitation effect and shouldn't be given
with things that are likely to be allergens. Red clover has
antispasmodic and expectorant effects and can help promote skin
healing. The vets may have more recent data, esp. in relation to
meds bieng given already that are keeping him alive so check with
them for counter-indications. I assume that the watercress mentioned
is the edible one we have in salads, soups, etc. That isn't in my
refs but I love eating the stuff.
