I only have limited experience with Adrenal, my own adrenal fuzzie has a thin coat, but all guard hairs, no undercoat. I would say it is not an emergency, just keep an eye on him, he may have lost the hairs there in a scuffle or something even. One of my ferrets completely changed color pattern on his head last year when got rid of his winter coat and so it may just be a weird/normal thing. Good luck.
