My ferret just recently had both his adrenal glands out (post is below). Anyway, we tried florineff with no success. His ratio went from 22.2 to 22.13, not much, but still the wrong way. Originally his sodium and potassium were quite far from the normal range. His sodium improved slightly, but his potassium was worse. He is still on pred at 0.36mg once a day. We are now changing that to 0.18 2x's a day to see if it may help.

Well, we decided to try percorten at 0.8 cc's. Does anyone have any idea on how long it takes for it to get into the ferrets system and affect the sodium and potassium levels? I am going to get another ratio done tomorrow.

He has not eaten on his own since last Tuesday or Wednesday after surgery. I have been force feeding him.
