Subject: Update on IBD ferret

I just wanted to let everyone know that my IBD shelter ferret Peanut passed
away on sunday at the veterinarians...her diarrhea came back with a vengeance
on thursday night and she was at my vet's since friday morning. Her CBC's
were unremarkable and stool samples showed nothing abnormal.
Gross necropsy did not show any glaring causes of death, but samples of her
digestive tract are going to the lab for analysis. I'm hoping that something
is found for why she died - she was only 1 year old.
