I've had a similar experience in 2 rescue ferrets that underwent adrenal surgery and both were found to have liver cancer at the same time. I had no indication of this prior to sx. I lost Bones shortly after sx, his liver was totally infiltrated. He had a very good haircoat priot sx and then looked like the clasic adrenal ferret shortly after sx. Charlie Brown had adrenal sx in March, had some hair loss and about 2/3 of his liver at that time looked healthy. ( My vet only did an aspirate of the diseased area so I don't have a difinitive diagnosis). THe hair is returning where he was shaved, but he sure looks adrenal on his back. Both of these sx's were left adrenals only with no indication of any problem on the right. I almost thought about trying Lupron on Charlie, but wonder if the hair loss has to do with the liver problem.
