To my knowledge, there are 2 documented cases of ear mites in
people - one a small child that slept with her cat, and the other a
veterinarian who self-inflicted them to see how contagious they were
(!!). Go to your doctor, please. And, take your ferrets to the vet
to see if they even have ear mites, I don't find them that common.
