Hello. I have two questions about CDV shots. First, is it a problem if the second shot is a different brand from the first? The ferrets have already had a Merial shot. Do I need to check with my vet to make sure that they also use Merial?
Second, how much leeway is there in when the second shot is given? 1 day, 3 days? I just want to confirm with someone other than the vet's receptionist that the date I scheduled their appointment for is okay.
Ferret 1 -
DOB 23-March
First CDV and rabies shot on 10-Aug (age 20 weeks)
Second shot scheduled for 29-Aug, 2 weeks, 5 days after the 1st.
She won't need a third, right?
Ferret 2 -
DOB 12-May
First CDV shot on 5-Aug (age 12 weeks, 1 day)
Second shot scheduled for 29-Aug, 3 weeks, 2 days after the 1st.
Will he need a third shot?
I also have two others that will be age 16 weeks when they get their first CDV shot. The second will be given at age 19 weeks. They won't need a third short, correct?
