I am not sure that an "Avecon" blood test is a good idea. When blood has been used with any of the Avecon tests, there has been a very high percentage of false positives. The Avecon tests were designed to be used with saliva, and it appears that the original protocol is what should be used.
However, either sending a saliva sample to Avecon or a blood sample to United is a good idea as a follow-up to a positive POCT test.
