It has been like pulling teeth finding vets who have helpful and
successful experience with marked levels of this, but accidently
today I learned that someone I used to know from the AMC does, so am
trying to arrange a consultation with Dr. Heidi Hoefer
http://home.att.net/~hhoefer/ for our vet. Am mentioning her name
here because consultants for this rare problem in ferrets are
shocking hard to find and time is of the essence given how rapidly
fatal this condition can be when this problem occurs. The one we
have found so far who has been of great help has been at vetheart in
Florida. (We are using Dr. Jonathan but Shelley Knudsen who also has
one with heart block is using a different cardiologist at the same
veterinary cardiology practise.) Vetheart's contact info is in the
