I remember a while back my Vets receptionist left a message on the phone as a reminder for me to fast Jade Elaine for 12 hours, prior to his surgery. I knew something was amiss.... I called back...mistake on their part. If I remember correctly, Debbie doesn't fast ferrets prior to surgery.
Perhaps this is a mistake, 48 hours is just too long for anything. I would certainly check back with them, 4 to 8 sounds more reasonable.
