As I understand things, the immune system responds to some viruses by
producing antigen-specific lymphocytes and continuing to produce them even
after the virus is no longer present. With ADV this doesn't seem to be the
case. With rabies, VNA titers during Imrab-3 testing were roughly 10^6
baseline 1 year post inoculation and 10^5 baseline 2 years later. I assume,
like most cells, older lymphocytes and antibodies are being replaced by new
ones all the time, but then I'm no expert so take that assumption fwiw.
