Do you know how much he is getting in mg? Prednisone comes in multiple concentrations so the ML level doesn't tell much. We have had a little female whose insulinoma and lymphoma were advanced on as much as 5 mg a day. For ferrets Pred doses eventually depend more on the individual and level of illness than on any formula. With high doses problems like ulcerations have to be watched for.

Have you tried Proglycem? That can be a very useful drug in addition to Prednisone for insulinoma. We've consistently had good fortune with it in our ferret family members.
