It sounds like a diagnosis is lacking here and that would be your first step
in treating the problem. Some good cytology and a mineral oil smear of the
ear debris is indicated. If there are real lesions on the ear pinna itself
that are persisting, you might consider an impression smear or a skin biopsy
of the ear skin.
Your best bet for treating ear mites (if that truly is the problem) is to
quit fussing with messy ear drops and get the ferret on Revolution
(selamectin), or ivermectin (not as effective as selamectin IMO).
Not sure about the red flushing of the foot pads but maybe there was an
adverse reaction to one of the ear cleaner's ingredients, or maybe the
ferret just became overly stressed by the ear cleaning procedure.
