I know this was meant for Karen, but I have some imput to give you. We use the percortin injections. Supposedly, some ferrets do not aptly respond to florinef, so percortin is another option for them. My vet's first course of action is percortin. It's effects last about a month; however, for our one ferret, it only lasts about 3 weeks. She is also on pediapred. She is given 0.2 ml of percortin subcutaneously. The only problem we had was in the beginning before we discovered that she should be given percortin every 3 weeks instead of 4. She began going downhill despite us giving her the injection. Percortin can take anywhere from 2 to 5 days to take effect, so I would suggest having Florinef in case of a crisis because it's effects come on more quickly. For our ferret, apparently, it takes closer to 5 days for the injection to have an effect.

Hope this helps you!
