My Hershey had a growth removed from one of his feet that looked the
same. This was last summer. We had pathology work done on the
growth, but unfortunately, I do not remember what it was. It was
benign, but the path recommendation was that if it returned, the toe
should be removed. From what I remember, my vet said it was
something that could turn cancerous.
I am usually better about keeping track of things, but I had several
minor surgeries done on ferrets at one time, and this one was the
least serious. My vet's offivce is closed today, but I can call
tomorrow and get details if anyone is interested.
The bottom line with Hershey, though, was it was benign, and did not grow back
