Subject: re: ferret rx

We use the Ferret RX beside the nose when ours are sounding
congested. It seems
to help. They avoid the water if I put it in the water. You
can also put a few drops on
the bedding. Just be careful not to let it get in their eyes
(may be some head shaking
going on when you put it beside their nostrils). I think it
acts much the same way that
Vick's Vapor Rub does for humans. I would imagine any alcohol
is to help it evaporate
faster.
I'm not a vet, but I seem to remember that ferrets are prone
to any respiratory illness,
such as colds and flu, that humans get. They can't get
stomach ailments from you, or
diarrhea-type problems, ect.
Good luck, Becky
