I, too, would be concerned with supplementing the diet with anything
containing chicken with the EG diagnosis.
You might try soaking a small amount of z/d in equal amounts of water
overnight in the fridge then put that mixture in the blender the next
morning. I also add Baby Food banana and Baby food rice cereal. These
would be beneficial and would also help mask the z/d flavor. I have
always added a substantial amount of brewer's yeast too. (And yes I
know some may believe this can be detrimental but my evidence is
otherwise.)
This overnight soaking will allow the mixture to become smooth as
silk. You could then hand feed the mixture or try it in a syringe.
Remember to put the syringe at the front of the mouth and let the
ferret take it at will rather than forcing any into their mouth. By
feeding it that way, the ferret can barely smell it and may accept
the diet easier.
