Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] Question about tooth care (with
pic link)

This is normal without any dental care. Teeth should be
cleaned whenever necessary - a small shadow is OK, but this
tartar needs to be removed. Your vet should be able to do it
without anesthetizing and YOU should learn how to do it
yourself without much resistance after your ferret learns that
YOU are the boss! I show my ferrets at ferret shows and have
to clean their teeth every 3-4 month to be absolutely white
and clean. Hope this helps. Gail
