Periotinitis is an inflammation of the membranes lining the organs of
the abdominal cavity. It can be due to bacteria, such as wehn you
have a rupture of the intestine, and food spills out, or you can have
a bile peritonitis, or a urine peritonitis - as either of these
substances leak into the abdominal cavity, etc.
