Subject: Possible adrenal or shed?

I have a male ferret approx 6 yrs old....great health, eats, plays,
poops fine.. Received him in October from a friend with his 2
buddies. He has already had his left adrenal removed a little over a
year ago..Here is the question... He started losing his fur from the
shoulder blades to his rump (but not at the base of his tail) in late
Nov. late Dec he was completely furless from the shoulder blades to
his backside and underneath him. I was going to get him a Lupron shot
in Dec but we decided to hold off in case it would mask any other
symptoms. I called about 2 weeks ago to get that Lupron shot but the
vet was out of it and it was suggested maybe just going with the
surgery since it looked like adrenal...Now he has started growing his
fur back...I was thinking of waiting till this Friday to see how the
fur was progressing and just cancelling the surgery which is
scheduled for Jan 22nd. So at this point I have no idea if he was
just going thru a late shed due to his uprooting of 6 yrs (they had
him from a kit)and possible stress related. I just want to do whats
right.. My other fuzzy had lrft adrenal surgery last July and had
never grown back his belly fur from his incision and I figured he was
adrenal again also but now his fur is starting to come in... Any
advise is appreciated.. Thank you...
