Subject: Chip is degressing
I have written to you regarding Chip in the past. He has Hind End
Weakness, it started the weekend before Christmas. We have been
giving him Pred .1ml 2xday for 2-weeks, now he's on his second day of
1xday, same dose.
He has been getting stronger, trying to use his legs, but his
back/spine just won't hold up. I figured time would heal. He get's
tired quickly, but is not improving very much. He started using his
legs a little just 3 days after Pred was started. I started him on
Duck Soup yesterday, he's getting a little thin. But, he didn't
want to stay awake. Today, same thing, sleeping all day.
No other visible differences in his mannerisms. The doctor has ruled
out most common things with xrays and blood work.
I have 2-questions:
How often and how much duck soup should I be giving him? He likes it
okay, but I can't keep him awake more than taking on a teaspoonful
with a syringe.
Any ideas why he's become so lethargic & tired so instantly? He was
doing well the day before his hind end weakness appeared. He was
doing well last week, just the next day (Sunday) he was at opposite
ends of the energy scale.
Can anyone help? Has anyone had this same situation?
