Subject: Re: Ultrasound procedure question

That's like our's for drop-off and pick-up times for ultrasounds;
we take along a toy and some food for them when that is allowed
-- often also a t-shirt that we each have stuck in our shirts to give
a smell of home while they rest, and we commonly bring a treat
to help keep the individual calm because our's are usually
awake for ultrasounds.

Meeteetse's x-ray and ultrasound readings when she had
pneumonia and pleurosy took a long while for final diagnosis
because it was so hard to read that there were consultations
afterward with other experts reading the results. (Meanwhile,
she was on meds and they did clear her up.) Usually, we find
out pretty fast what the results were, but not always.

BTW, she sounded okay by stethoscope and was only coughing
somewhat more than she should at home -- but it felt wrong to
us. She had a non-ferret vet because it was an emergency
appointment since the coughing worried us a lot, and the
non-ferret vet only x-rayed her because she trusted us to know
that something really was wrong which is fortunate because she
was very ill even though she barely showed it.

I think that the upshot is that there are a number of folks saying
that what the person encountered for waits (to test and to read)
for the ultrasound were very normal, and not a cause for concern.
