We have about a 4-year old male successfully receiving periodic Lupron and
daily Fludamide for prostate induced urinary blockage. About two months ago
he seemed to have developed a mildly bleeding rectal proplapse. He was
examined by our local vet and left untreated with daily observation. The
prolapse receded but there appears to be a livid growth just inside the
rectum, keeping it open. It leaves a light blood smear on the paper that he
prefers to the litter box.
He has now, reluctantly, been on Flagyl twice a day for 10 days, just in
case of infestation, with no change noted. It looks to my untrained eye like
a hemorrhoid. Any thoughts before we take it to the next level?
Thanks,

Joel
