Subject: Tigger: Progress on the Pheno

I want to post an update for anyone who might have been following
Tigger's battle with gran mal seizures and CNS problems.

Tigger has been on phenobarbital since December 15th. He is on 1mg
twice a day. (0.2 ccs of a 120mg/24ml bottle) He has come SO very
far since all this happened. He is back to living with all his
friends. He's slowing but surely learning to play again by making
small baby steps. It started with stealing fleece jingle balls, then
by sticking his head into the rice in the play bin, and finally by
actually rough-housing a little with the others. He still has little
to no vision in his left eye but I'm confident that he's had complete
return of his vision in his right eye. He gets around great!

He's begun drinking on his own and eating kibble again. A big relief
for me since I was worried about dehydration and an imbalance in his
electrolyte levels. Between the lasix for his cardiomyopathy and
DOCP for his lack of adrenal glands, I'd say we're walking a fine
line!

He's looking absolutely beautiful at just a little over 3 years old
and he's doing amazing! It's unbelievable to me knowing where he was
just a short 2 months ago. For anyone who is debating on using
phenobarbital, it has certainly helped Tigger! I'll make this my
last update unless something happens to worsen the situation. Thanks
again for everyone's input with his struggle!

Best wishes to all of you,
Erin
