Subject: diahrrea

I have a 1.5 year old male ferret named Moxie. I brought him and
another ferret home from a ferret shelter on January 5th (they lived
together before going into the shelter). I introduced them to my
female ferret and they've all been doing well.

I did notice, however, that Moxie's stool has been runny (not
complete water, but too wet nonetheless).

The new boys were overdue for shots, so they went today to the vet.
He gave them a look-over, said they seemed healthy. He said the
diarrhea was probably related to them moving to a new home (their
diet has also changed).

But tonight, Moxie's diarrhea is much worse -- very dark and watery.
I set him on a counter with a bowl of Ferretone so I could watch him
for a bit. He lapped the Ferretone up very well, but then he had
diarrhea again -- this time on the counter and this time it was just
blood and mucous. He's a little bit lethargic tonight, but not acting
as if he's in any distress (he was upstairs playing like a maniac an
hour after we came home from the vet). He's drinking a lot of water --
understandable after the diahrra.

Are the things I'm seeing related to the vaccinations and the other
stress?

When do I start worrying, and what do I do in the meantime?
