Subject: Out-of -staters and Dr. Weiss. Need info.

Hi everyone,
I would like to hear from members(off-list, please) who do not live
in Maryland, but have taken their ferrets to Dr. Weiss for adrenal
surgery. How does this work exactly? Is it a one day deal or does he
keep them overnight? When are surgeries normally done, etc. What have
your experiences been? How are your cryo-surgerized ferrets doing?
I live in NJ and am about 2 hours from Dr. Weiss. My current vet,
although excellent, does not offer cryosurgery and is hesitant about
operating on an "almost" 6 year old ferret, even though he is in
otherwise good health. I just would like to know what to expect
before I make the phone call.
