Subject: RE: [Ferret-Health-list] Re:What to feed a ferret with
Insulinoma

I have a few questions about this recipe.

I have read that ferrets are lactose intolerant. Does the
cream in this recipe cause diarrhea?
I was told never to give ferretvite to a ferret with
insulinoma. Is the amount in this recipe too small to be a
problem?
Can someone tell me what a/d is?

thanks,
Renee

I usually recommend 2-3 times daily supplementation with
duck soup
or chicken baby food (though my ferrets prefer turkey). My
duck soup
recipe for insulinoma is:
1 cup crushed ferret food (I use Totally Ferret)
1 cup heavy cream
1 can a/d
1 jar chicken baby food
1 inch ferretvite
Mix in the blender, store frozen in ice cube trays.
