Subject: Re: [Ferret-Health-list] How to decrease potassium/raise
sodium

Hi, Celia,

> I was curious about the salt thing--I asked my vet but he said it wouldn't help.

I think that it might help a little is common sense. Salt is sodium
chloride.

I just shake some onto the bowl of gravy the way I would if I were
salting human food (and I liked my food a little salty). I really don't
have an exact measure.

I don't think so. Have you thought about Bob Church's chicken gravy.
Yes, it's a pain to make, but my vet believes in it. It's very high
quality food for ferts.

I do the recipe as described by Pam Sessoms' in her pressure cooker
method. It's pretty much just what Bob Church recommends by the book.
I add the salt when I serve it.

That's the same concentration mine get. Pertwee is getting double the
standard dosage, which works to 0.15cc twice a day instead of once.
Your Cokie is on a much higher dosage than that.

I don't know. I think from the TriFL list you know who my vet is. Why
not give a call and ask him? He has huge amounts of adrenal experience,
as I think you already know.

All the best,
Caity and the terrific 10
