Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] Distemper and Rabies

I, for one, have 12 ferrets and about half of mine react VIOLENTLY to
Fervac-D. I DO NOT LEAVE THE VET'S OFFICE FOR AT LEAST 1/2-3/4 HOUR,
ALTHOUGH THE REACTIONS USUALLY OCCUR WITHIN THE FIRST 15 MINUTES. WE NOW
GIVE THEM A SHOT OF BENEDRYL BEFORE THE VACCINATIONS AND HAVE ALSO HAD TO
GIVE OTHER MEDS TO PULL THEM OUT OF THE REACTIONS. BE VERY CAREFUL. THE
RABIES DOES NOT USUALLY REACT - ONLY THE FERVAC, IN MY EXPERIENCE.
