Given Stinky's history, it is certainly possibe that he has a
neurological problem. Unfortunately, the tests to determine that are
expensive.
Another possibility, though is ADV. The test for ADV is
inexpensive. I firmly believe all ferrets should be tested for it.
If Stinky has not had an ADV test, ask your vet to run one. Or, do
it yourself. The Avecon test only requires a saliva sample.
I know many Florida vets think ADV has not reached that far south
yet, but I suspect it is more that most people down there are not
testing yet.
