Subject: differently colored eyes

--
I have a mutt who has two different colored eyes. The left is a
brown/auburn color and the right is a blue color. It's not highly
noticeable unless you look closely. She has a blaze (WS) and is also
deaf. At the age of one, she had a bilateral adrenalectomy and is on
DOCP. Sukie, are you saying that she might have a higher likelihood
of developing a heart problem or other problems like that? Should I
be keeping a closer eye on her with chest films, etc? She's my
little Princess so any additional precautions will be taken if I have
reason to be worried.

If not highly noticeable it may not matter. With humans there are
more careful checks of circulatory health done just in case. If your
vet thinks it makes sense then just do that. The things I've read
about non-bilateral coloration involved marked differences. Even
then I would assume that there can be other causes that aren't
dangerous, but do ask your expert if there are precautions that would
make sense for this individual the next time you talk, just to be
most safe.
