The best thing I have found for (persistent) diarrhea to date is mixing
plain, canned pumpkin in Duck Soup (equal parts of each). However, I
don't know what the pumpkin will do to the glucose level - so I suggest
getting your vet's input before trying this. I can only say that it has
worked amazingly well for my fuzzies, including Taz, who was tentatively
diagnosed with IBD, after extensive tests, meds, special diets, etc. ...
she and the others all had perfectly normal stools after 7 - 10 days on
the pumpkin.
